In The Land of the Fanatics

A report on the conflict between Christians and Muslims after the establishment of the "Sharia" in Northern Nigeria. In the North of the multi-ethnic state of Nigeria, politicians started a dangerous experiment: They introduced the "Sharia", the Islamic system of justice, as the code of law for public and private life in the area. For Christians, everyday life has become risky and exhausting. In the big city of Kaduna, bloody riots began in early 2000, when Christians and Muslims attacked each other with machetes.
