Brooklyn, New York
Next Exit Booklyn
A bicycle tour east of the East River

"Just cross the bridge and you are in a different world - or, how a poor immigrant neighborhood became a booming borough. Defiantly, the "Brooklynites" call themselves the true New Yorkers. They are proud of their multi-cultural miniature continent, of their quilt of vibrant neighborhoods. If Brooklyn was still a city of its own, as it was up to the end of the 19th century, it would be the fourth-biggest city of the USA, boasting 2.5 million inhabitants (Manhattan, by comparison, only has 1.5 million) - behind the rest of New York, Los Angeles and Chicago."
